An Introduction by James D. Peros
I'm James D. Peros, CPA, CA and a sole practitioner licensed to practice public accounting in Canada. I have been a Chartered Accountant since 1985 and started my career as an accountant at Touche Ross (now more commonly known as Deloitte).
I have volunteered in my community from coaching kids athletic teams to sitting on boards for Not For Profits.
This website is designed to provide my current clients and prospective clients with background information on myself and the various services that I provide. There are links to numerous tax, accounting and financial websites to assist you with some commonly requested information. As well it would be my pleasure to meet with prospective clients on their needs. As a sole practitioner, I have the flexibility to work with my clients to provide high valued, individualized advice.
My practice is based in the Greater Toronto Area and consists primarily of providing business consulting, accounting, tax and other related services to corporate (small to medium businesses) and individual clients with a focus on real estate and owner / operator businesses.
Although the range of business related services provided is very broad, see the Services page, I have had extensive experience with small to medium sized, owner / operator businesses (including start-ups).

Curriculum Vitae
James D. Peros, CPA, CA graduated from University of Toronto in 1981 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. The Chartered Accountant designation was obtained in 1985 following the successful completion of the Ontario School of Accountancy and the Uniform Final Examinations while employed with Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte).
While employed with Touche in Toronto between 1981 and 1987, Mr. Peros gained a broad range of experience in business, accounting, personal financial planning and tax related matters. This experience was very diversified, having obtained exposure to clients in numerous industries.
To broaden his expertise, Mr. Peros also specialized in corporate and personal taxation for three years while with Touche. The tax experience was extensive, with exposure to many personal and corporate tax situations. During this period, James also completed the CICA In-depth tax course.
Mr. Peros then moved to The Equion Group, a financial planning firm, and gained experience with investor relations and moreso, product development with syndicated real estate investments.
Having developed a good business foundation in audit, tax and real estate, James D. Peros, CPA, CA began his accountancy practice in 1990 and has since established long-term relationships with many of his clients by providing personalized service that meet their personal and business accountancy needs.
